Am using this product for 4 weeks and have had good results. However, after the 5th week I started using the DVD that I had in the first 4 weeks and will not play in DVD player. I also noticed using the card holder continues DVDs get scratched easily.
Ok i just started the workout and i love it, its very hard at first but i just keep pushin my self. The reason for only 2 stars is because the dvd 's suck. I got the cardiox out and tried to use it for the first time and it was skipping bad. For as much as you pay for the program they should atleast make sure the material last the whole 90 days. so think about your pick.
How sad. Multiple day trends and enjoying the product. DVD # 11 is defective. The manufacturers won 't do about it so I called Amazon. They can change the entire September So now I know I should stop the trend, wait for an exchange, and then start over ... or what. Live in one of the missing dvd? Ugh. Beware of faulty DVDs.
This is not one of those infomercial "put-forth-in-effort-and-get-amazing-results " fitness gimmicks. This is no-nonsense, hard-core training that gets results if you force yourself to stick with it. The value of the product is in how it arranges the right variability (muscle-confusion) and timing adjustments on basic, meat-and-potatoes exercises. I highly recommend it.
My son said his purchase, and they tried to sell him items that he said could easily add up to over $ 500, plus, they will pay him $ 11 $ 25 tax and for shipping! What a rip off! So, buy it from Amazon, you save your tax and shipping. Much better conditions for the exact same product. He 's young and has learn some life's valuable lessons!
Wife got me this for Christmas. Very good program but disk 01 does not work. Called beachbody since bought through Amazon but they will not take care of it. Amazon will take a complete return but will not ship a replacement disk. I think you would be better off buying directly from beachbody.
This is the perfect tool for anyone trying to get in better shape. R Ryou can do anything in the privacy of your own room too. R rit includes both aerobic and anaerobic pieces and a nutrition component as well. R rthe record DVDs includes methods for modifying the training sessions for beginners, and the "Muscle Confusion " strategy is a winner. R rI just returned from a trip to Iraq, and many of my soldiers have been obtained with this program, in phenomenal shape. R rThis product is simply fantastic!
Poor rating for shipper, not the product. Buyer beware in buying things by Alice reburbished Pippen. R RWE commanded set by Alice Pippen through Amazon, and the first 3 discs are quite scratched beyond repair. We contact Alice Pippen to seek replacement of the first 3 or set or a complete refund within the return policy deadline. We have not received any communication back. R RI repurchased the item brand new Beachbody by love and the products.
The package that holds the DVD discs is not suitable for storing the optical media. It is made out of papers and causes scratches on the discs, and the discs will become unreadable after some use. R rI purchased mine from Beachbody fulfilled by Amazon.com. Out of 13 DVD 's that I received, one disc was failing from the beginning. Another disc soon became the same after using a couple of times in and out of the designated DVD holder. R rif you are going to purchase this product, first thing you will need to do is to check all DVD 's are readable . And next thing you need to do is getting a safe CD binder and storing the DVD 's there. Please get take a look at other 1-star or 2-star reviews, and see what their complaints are about - Damaged DVD 's! r r rthe workout itself looks great, but it requires extra equipments such as pull-up bar and workout bands. If you have them already it 's great. Otherwise, you will need to spend just little more money.
End of the day, the kids, is that P90X makes me happy. :) I finished version of Lean few days ago, on New Year 's Eve. R rI a 30-year-old woman who had been working and eating healthy for life. A few months ago, one of hubby 's co-workers gave P90X DVDs. I'm glad because I have been attracted by the infomercial, but it wasn 't sure if the product is good enough to spend a lot of money. At first, I just want to watch a DVD to take a new step for use in the gym, but after watching them, I was very impressed that I decided to do the entire program. We didn 't receive a diet plan, so my comments are based Solely on the exercise. R rI buy a portable DVD player and did the heavy and yoga DVDs in the gym 's aerobics room, which worked quite well. I have a gym membership is cheap, and works out to be more expensive to do what I do than go out and buy a lot of weight and pull-up bar. I also want to keep cardio options that I have been in the gym (more on that later). R rSome readers may wonder about the weight loss. I do not miss anything about this program, however, I have a lot come the health issues last year which prevented me from losing weight. Doc I worked with it. I know for sure that it was not a program 's fault that I didn ' t lose weight (hypothyroidism, hormones, adrenal, and gluten issues, anyone?), So obviously trying to program if you are healthy and want to try to reduce weight. I 'm sure you ' d see the results! R rI am so impressed with the advantage that I 've seen from doing the lean version I ' m starting this version of the Classic today. I 'ma bit scared to do Plyos once a week, but I know I ' ll continue to get great results. R RMY biggest advice is to write everything down like Tony say (how much energy, weight used, etc..). I ignored the point that when I started, and I'm starting to regret it about 6 or 7 weeks I felt stronger and would 've liked to see proof on paper. R rin In short, here 's the details from my perspective: r rPROS r * I get so much more powerful since doing this program. I am now able to do push-ups plyo! R * I am also more flexible. My hubby can 't believe yoga poses I can do now. R * Tony and the gang is fun and inspirational. Tony is equivalent to 45 when he had the DVD and he's in very good condition. I saw him on QVC recently. Now 50, Tony is still tearing it up! I hope I 'm in good shape as when I could be age. I like that a serious exercise DVD, but you still have fun and laugh at the same time. Some of the co-host of the older, and one person only has one leg, so knowing that people can get through training motivated me to do my best even better. R * I've got ADD exercises. This program offers a variety and makes me interested. R * I never thought about what I 'm going to work out on that day. It 's all set for me. R * The DVD is easy to navigate, it 's simple to pass the move if you want / perlu.Saya also like that music can be turned off and I wanted to quit, this will help to see the timer at the bottom of the screen so when I knew I only have a certain period prior to reps. It 's much easier to keep going when you know you only have, say, 10 seconds remaining. R * I enjoy yoga now. I used to do yoga 3 times a year maybe, half an hour at a time. I didn 't "get " yoga. I like cardio-running, hiking, biking, and kickboxing, along with 2-3 days / week of weight lifting, is my routine. When I first watched the DVD of yoga, I was very surprised that it was a half hour. But I gave it a chance because Tony said he 's in the form he ' s in for yoga, not because of pull-ups. The first time I did, it didn 't seem like that long. Over time, I began to enjoy it quite a bit. Now my body (and mind) expect yoga. R * The moves aren 't easily controlled. Although I 'm in shape, I still can ' t make any move for Tony and co-host could. I still have things to strive for even though I 've been through one round of the program. R * An option is presented, you can use weights or bands, or you can modify if needed. R RCON r * I 've done a lot of training DVDs in the day, and the norm is for the host to refer to the side, not theirs. That way you can mirror their movements, which makes it easier to stay coordinated. (For example, if they are said to march on the left leg, it is the left side, not the left.) Tony doesn 't do this, and it was annoying me a bit. Often, when he says to do something on the left, I started to do it on the left and then became confused when I saw the screen because I had to do it on my right. (Yes, I 'm blonde, can you tell?) R * Sometimes unilateral reps aren ' t even on both sides. For example, the knee to the forehead moves in yoga is one additional time on one side. Some poses held longer on one side, too. Make sure you track in your head how much energy you are even on each side so that your stay. R * DVD has the stomach yoga yoga.I don 't understand why, when it ' s placed in between the days you do Ab Ripper X. Tony himself said in Ab Ripper X DVD that you should 't work out your abs every day. I just jumped through a part of yoga DVD, but it 's annoying to destroy the flow of yoga to fast forward. R * Like the other poster said, the cardio Kenpo and DVD's too easy. I was replaced by running, biking, hiking, Plyometrics, or someone else 's DVD cardio that day. R * I don 't like a top, bottom, top, bottom of the Core Synergistics DVD. I 'd like to do all the work floor, then stood up, I feel like I spend more time to go up and down from anything. R * Tony did not get a little too fussy here and there. I 'm like, "X I, X I! " And he ' s still talking. Sometimes I like a short break, but sometimes not so much. R rOverall, it 'sa great program, and I highly recommend it! .. ..
I am well-known as a gym rat! However, in the winter, I do enjoy a challenging workout at home. These 13 workouts (plus two bonus workouts) keep things fresh and new even to me, one who gets bored easily! The program has three levels, so I can work within this set for 9 months, and plan to! I am a fan of Tony Horton P90X and this does not disappoint!
Company posted record bad. Does the substitution in the dance called ... etc. .. Amazon. Recommend how to avoid bad disks are frequently mentioned in other reviews.
I bought these for my husband, after the infomercial on television a few times and he is really like. He says it is difficult, but actually gives you a good work out.
I did the entire 90 days of p90x starting November of 2008. Since then I 've become more dormant due to my job, but I ' m getting back on track with Insanity, and I 'm considering mixing in some pieces from P90x/P90x + and the 10 minute trainer. I can remember when I was doing it very well, however. R rI have to say that I really loved this program when I did it. The nutrition part was fine (The suggestions were generally what I ate anyway), but my schedule was incredibly hectic. I was getting up at 5 am to go to class, and I was so tired in the day it would throw me off leaving me often with very little sleep on the Weekdays. I stuck to it though. R rI wasn 't doing it for "The look " but to prepare me at the time to start regularly practicing martial arts again (Too bad my job made that a pipe dream lol). About three weeks in, however, my friends started to comment on how lean I had become. I was hoping to cut a little weight so I could make the cut for my fighting weight easier (I sit around with a cut 170 to 155 at 5 '11 '). I didn ' t lose very much, but my build started to change dramatically to that of my past when I was practicing Boxing / Kickboxing / MMA six days a week. r rAround seven weeks in I once took a look in the mirror. I just began feeling my muscles. I still didn ' t see what my friends saw, but I noticed my muscles were flexed incredibly hard and compact. I suddenly had this feeling of "YOU 'RE BACK! Hello! "Lol r rat the end of it I met my goals, but that 's when the job even harder hit, and the muscle went away sadly. But it took a few months for them to calm. I was still happy. r rThe program kept me engaged while I did it. I would always sacrifice time for it, and while at first I had a mildly ill attitude towards it at times, it began to be very fun. I really like Tony Horton 's attitude. He makes it fun, he ' s about get the job done, and keeps you engaged. Later it became not Uncommon for me to end the last few minutes with a big smile. r rI did go in sort of dumb and not Realize that you had to be fairly fit to do it, but I was already in the top 1% of the Air Force for my age (21 then), so I was fine. r rOne thing I will applaud it even more for is that while doing it I did almost no long distance runs, and my 1.5 mile running time (While slower than my basic training time of 8:33) had little to no change at the end of the program. I was afraid not doing that it would mess me up, but that was not so. r rI recommend this for anyone of a moderate level of fitness looking to enhance where they are. It will enhance you all around, but of course if you want to specialize in something such as building great amounts of strength, speed, endurance, and so on, then there are other options. Still, it wouldn 't hurt if you had those goals in mind while using pieces of p90x to enhance . A lot of the separate movements are really good. r rGood luck with your goals!
I recently came into the madness of P90X especially after hearing about it for so long. I 'm not following the religious program, but I use it to supplement my gym workouts. The P90X workouts are tough, I thought I was in good shape, but I breath very quickly. They have some great new movements that 've added to my routine and I feel my muscles working again, so hopefully I ' ll be able to bust through the plateau of I 've been. Rémy complaints are: r1), Tony Horton talks too much, spends too much time on meaningless babble ( "What do you think of my shirt?" ", Etc etc) and R2) because babbles Thus, the training drag longer than necessary and are not mostly, he 't give too much instruction. I found myself very lost doing P90X Plus Kenpo and gave no explanation of how to perform the movements. R rit would be beneficial to have a role in the DVD, which lets users choose the intensity of training and then show the person who is performing the movement (ie, if 're working with bands, just to show to the person who is performing the exercise with the bands). There are a few yoga DVD 's out there that have this feature and is really useful. RI 'd give it 5 stars, but STFU shouting on TV a few times, while Horton was talking trash, kicked up notch.
Great workout, but definetely for people with resistance, and previous training. I have good physical condition, but that was about 4 months without training, the first week was hell definetely. Great workout, but it 's the fun was fast and 45-60 min. Highly recommend this product has online forums for support, detailed guidance on nutrition, with vegetarian options (which I loved because I am veg.) Great buy for the price.
Some may find Tony annoying but he is perfect for motivating me. When he tells me "you can do anything for 30 seconds! " I feel he is right and I try. Right when I go to sit down on the couch because i 'm wore out, he tells me "Don ' t get on the couch, keep moving " and I do. If you actually give this program a chance and do it every day and follow the nutrition plan, it will definitely work for you. You will feel your mood change just after about three days into the program and realize how what you eat affects your mood and alertness. Give it a chance! It really works! And you can do it at home! I'm a believer now.
Products are all the claims. If you are in shape, exercise is good and not too difficult. You have to put in time and increase according to directions. Good overall. You may have to buy some extra, if you don 't already have it.
I was lifting weights with a home gym for many years but the workout I am doing is getting high redundant. The P90X fitness workout set is very ambitious but provides a high level of variety and makes you use more combinations muscle 's as compared to only the weight of a lifting living ..... if you want to get real, more flexible and therefore more developed Athletically, I would recommend purchasing this product ..... Tony Horton and a high level of job you want ..... and you will obtain the results ..... Larry D, Portland, OR
First, let me say that the workouts are hard. As a footballer who will play in college next year, I had to pause mid-training 1 (chest and back) to keep from vomiting. If you want to lose 10-15 pounds, than by all means you should buy this program. R rHowever , the fact is that this program will do little to help you gain muscle mass, strength, or explosive / power athlete. This is no fault of the program, which includes exercises killer, but the fault of its configuration: it is an exercise from home, the minimum amount of use of equipment. R line rbottom, going to a gym and using its vast selection of free weights will result in better results, and will also probably cost less, considering the price of P90X exercise without any equipment. Why is this? Substantial gains in muscle size and strength requires the use of a weight with which you can only perform a maximum of 12 repetitions. A program that leans heavily pushups and squats weight can not increase breast size or power of the legs. P90X will increase muscular endurance, but this is of little practical most of us. As an athlete, I train for strength and power in the gym and endurance in track and field. R rAdditionally, the layout of the program, often working out the body part only once a week (for example, chest / back / shoulder is trained only once a week in the first stage). No matter how hard the workout, you can 't improve one day with a week of training. R rdon 't believe me? Just look at the before and after photos provided by Beachbody. They didn 't gain any muscle mass, they only rational and had their photos in more flattering lighting. R P90X purchase rBefore you, I suggest you at least take a look at the book "Men 's Health Power Training " ($ 15 at Amazon).
This is an excellent program! You can make it as easy or as hard as you need / want it to be - Tony shows different ways to do most of the moves so you can progress. I am on week 3 and already have results! Not only do I feel better and Leaner but I look it too! I already worked out a lot and was in good shape before I started this program but it is exactly what I was looking for to bump up my workout!
This is a training program. Not for the weak, you must be physically fit before you start. Refrigerator with what you work all your muscle groups and also includes some cardio training very interesting. You will not get bored. Ryou eventually the pain of loving little the day after.
I travel just about every week for business and had a hard time coming up with a workout program that I can do on the road and at home and you can 't count on a hotel gym to what is required mo. I hate checking in luggage, but hate making my pants on my butt look even smaller still. If you want, you can probably do this workout in the street and just continue, but I 've started packing a small bag pack I can carry everything I want. I figure if I 'm working it hard 6 days a week, an extra 20 minutes to get my gym bag and baggage claim does not agree. R RTO is my P90X workout on the road, it 's what I pack. R r-The Workout DVD - I ve 'actually got mine on my laptop and my iPod using handbrake to copy the discs bought by Beachbody. This is a great product, so buy it instead of pirating being a weasel. Plus, if you invest your money, you 'll feel more motivated to finish which is the important part. They 'll refund your money if you don ' t like the program still not so safe. R-gym shoes and socks - you don 't need heavy-duty pumps to keep Tony ' s advice of being light on your feet. I pack a light weight pair of Merrill hiking shoes. R-nylon gym shorts - with a supportive aliner (for guys) since you 'll be doing jumping jacks and jumping in most every other working-out. RA tee shirt for every day - since I m 'drenched in sweat after each workout. R-resistant Bands - the BeachBody Bands are cool because you can move the handle between the different Bands making it easier to pack. With three and bought a door clip so I can do pull-down exercises in my hotel room (it 'nylon band with a loop at one end and a sewn on the block to another). R-P90X Recovery Drink one serving packet - again, as hard as I 'm working at it, $ 45/month is not too much to spend. It tastes like a cream cycle. If you don 't carry a bottle of water, Aquafina buy top with large mouth so ' s getting easier to pour your drink it. R rOptional stuff packages r r-Yoga mat - I since the workouts in my hotel room I want something between me and the floor this season 's day yoga or not. If you don 't want to pack it, extra towels from the hotel will do the job. R-Yoga block - if yoga is my schedule during the trip. R RI haven 't bought the heart-rate monitor since I don ' t need one to tell me I 'm hitting it as hard as I can. So, for all back workouts, it just so happens that I am at home. I bought a pull up bar for my basement and was on my disc every time. I have a heavy weight, black band to travel back when workouts happen on the road. R RI 'm at the end of week 5 of P90X, so the hardest part is behind me, (ie, the first week of working muscle pain and the trend in my schedule). I haven 't missed a working-out, even on the road. One day, I have an early flight and didn 't get a chance to workout until the 10:30. The only challenge here is Plyometrics and Kenpo workouts have a lot of jumping and can not be appreciated by those living near the room hotel.Plan respectively. I 've got the workouts on my iPod so I go to the hotel gym for workouts if I want. After 5 weeks P90X, I 'm in better shape than most anyone in there so I don ' t care if you look a little unconventional to the people watching the Today show as they go the treadmill. R rBefore this program I like the workout when I was home and what motivated to squeeze it in. I want to run several miles and 40 minutes of weight. However, I am lucky to get 3 days per week and I will be any food around without control over the real part. During the first week of P90X, I was so hurt that a couple of days after the shoulder / biceps / triceps working-out I could hardly hold of my face because my triceps are so tight and sore. In the next week, however, have passed. R rWith 5 weeks behind me, I 've gone from 198 pounds (I ' m 5 '11 "and really do have big bones, esp. Femurs and pelvis) to 187 pounds. Forever I 't remeasured my body fat, but I ' m I 've traded some fat weight for muscle mass so my 11 pounds net loss is likely to want £ 15 + fat loss. I started with a 38 "in my waist and 35 " pants are eligible loose me now. During my test fit, I can pull ups 4. Now I will be 11 during my first set and A total of 70 during the back and foot work out. I can just about keep up during all the workouts, which is no small deal. r rthe [... ] man put everything you need to manage your program in a very quite spreadsheet (you can download from their website). It tracks your progress of weight, your body measurements, each row in each weight workout and your daily nutrition. Again, it is important for me because no notebook to pack when I travel. R rWhile harder, the workouts are really quite happy after the first week of illness and learning activities. Tony is as remarkable that he could record a program. I find myself laughing at his jokes, though I ve 'heard them all again. He 's got himself and 3 others making each workout so you follow the person doing the workout in a way most closely match your skills and tools at your disposal (eg, dumbbells or Bands). The workouts are about 60 minutes from warmup to cooldown, the only yoga which is 90 minutes. Weight working-out discs with 15 minute bonus for Abb workout, which I haven 't done yet. R as conclusion, if you are like me and want to follow with something once you 've put your mind to it, you'll ' very pleased with this working-out . $ 130 bucks, including the amount of drink is getting a bargain and equipment to improve your health and feel about how you look. The heaviest dumbbell I used to now is £ 45 for Lawnmower exercise (usually an exercise dumbbell row). I 'll probably go weight, but my point is that you can buy a dial-a-weight dumbbells to Costco and have every weight you need for workout. R ri hope that this review was useful for my fellow travelers of "open-cage " and want to mapabuti.Ako 'll turn on the "e-mail me when someone comments on my review "option if anyone wants to ask me anything. R RNOW I 'm off to do KenpoX ... ..
the workout AB fifteen minutes is ridiculous. but if you do, it 's over in fifteen minutes.
I 'ma 32 years old male and i ' ve been preparing consistently for about 14 years. I 've through the mill as well as various work-outs with each slightly different take than the other ... Then came P90X! RToday is day 24 of the 90-day program, and I am absolutely without doubt in the best shape of my life .. Time! This work-out you had seen about the push and beyond barriers that you 've never been before. Tony Horton is "The Man " and press who keep the squeeze-out every last drop of juice you offer. Rther are a ton of new moves I 've still never seen before in the whole, besides the work yoga October R RHER ' s what you 'll need to start: r Ryoga Mat Ryoga Block rDumbbells or tapes rPull-up bar (I recommend "The Iron Gym Ultimate Upper Body Work Out Bar ") rHeart rate monitor (I get 'm, without this) rP90X Recovery Drink r rther ' s one last thing I 'd like to add. I started this work-out in above average shape. I was working regularly for at least 6 months up to the program. The first week of P90X was by far the hardest week of my life. Halfway through yoga on Day 4, I wanted to throw in the towel ... but I didn 't. .. and scored every other week a little lighter than i 've become more flexible and stronger. If you are in any way by the battle of the first week, then you 'll also on the way to the transformation of your body into a Greek god, make sure think about how you prepare for the challenge. R RDO your best and FORGET THE REST ... Bring it! R r r-John Hedgepeth
